Psychotherapy for Adults, Adolescents, and Children
Dedicated expertise and respect for each person’s right to express and create their own authentic lives.
My Practice Philosophy
I strive to listen with an open mind, without judgement or labels, so I can begin to know the life each person is living and, eventually, the source of the trouble. I cannot do this alone. Therapy is a collaborative process in which both therapist and patient work together. A therapist must first truly hear before being able to speak constructively. A person coming for help contributes by trying to express what their life is like and what they want to achieve.
It may be that there are feelings or things that can’t be shaken off or simply a sense that something is missing or just not right. The result is often depressive or anxious feelings of being stuck, adrift, or burdened. Although the personal details vary, the end result of therapy should be feeling more “at home” with oneself, more authentic and real.
In short, a life to call your own.
